ENERGY SOURCES
Energy comes from many different sources. All energy sources have there up sides and there down sides. At this point in time the earth is heavy relies on fossil fuels such as coal and oil. Coil and oil are relatively cheap recourses but they can causes serious environmentally and health problems. These resources will not last forever. We will have to chose other energy recourses that are more environmental friendly and that can also produce enough energy that is needed. What are the best sources of energy ? There are many potential energy sources in the world. The untied states should invest in wind energy, solar energy, and geothermal energy with in the next 50 years .
Wind power. The first wind turbine was invented in 1931 by George Darrieus but they did not become popular until the late 80s. Wind turbines are simply to understand. The energy of the wind turns the propellers blades around a rotator. The rotator is connected to the main shaft witch spins and create energy.
Wind energy benefits. There are many benefits to using wind power. Wind is a free resource. Wind energy is a green power source and does not give off any carbon dioxide. Wind energy has a lot of potential it could produce 20 times the amount of energy need for the population of the earth. Az of 2010 wind energy produce 2.5 percent of the worlds energy and it is and sense the 80s the price for wind energy has gone done over 80 percent.
Where are the best places to put wind turbines ? People who live in central or the west in the untied states wind energy will be more cost affective. The costlines are also good places to place wind turbines.
Solar energy history - In 1839 Alexandra Edmond Becquerel was the first one to discover that photovoltaic could create electricity. In 1941 over a 100 years later Russell Ohl invented the solar cell. Due to lack of interest solar panels weren't widely used until many years later.
solar energy benefits - solar energy gives off zero pollution so it has no harm to to the environment. Producing energy from fossil fuels and wind mills can be very noisy but solar panels produce energy very quietly. Solar panels don't only produce energy from earth, they also produce energy for the satellites in space. One of the biggest advantages of solar energy is the cost. Although the initial investment is expensive once they are installed they produce free energy.
Solar energy plan - Solar panels can be installed almost anywhere. One of the most affective places to install solar panels are on the top of roofs. When installing make sure the solar panel is facing the south where it can get the most of the sun light. Solar panels. Solar energy has huge potential to fill the US,s energy need.
Geothermal energy - Geothermal is thermal energy generated and stored in the earth. Thermal energy is the energy that determines the tempter of the matter. One of the first uses of geothermal energy was by Piero Ginori when he invented the first geothermal electric power plant.
Geothermal potential - Geothermal energy in the untied states has the potential to have an installed capability of 100,000 megawatts within the next 50 years. One of the most important things geothermal does it that it does not give off harmful carbon dioxide. Harnessing geothermal energy does not envolve any fuel witch means less cost fluctuations and stable electricity price.
plan - Fossil fuels like coal and oil will not last forever. If the United States wants to have sustainable energy they need to consider other avenues. The secret to sustainable energy is to invest in renewable resources. We need to invest in more then one source of renewable recourses. There are many options when it comes to renewable resources but three of the best options are wind energy, solar energy, and geothermal energy. These three options can produce energy all throw out the United States. The untied states needs to build more solar panel more wind mills and we also need to do more research to see how big the potential can be for geothermal energy. These three sources of renewable sources can ween are way off of fossil fuels and fill are energy need.
