Poverty and hunger - 25 percent of the people who live in Uganda live in poverty with out enough food. 30 percent of kids in Uganda are malnutrition
Location - Uganda is located on the continent of Africa.
Description of location - Uganda is located in eastern Africa west of the Kenya south of the Sudan and east of the Democratic of the Congo.
Ecosystem - Uganda has significant natural resources including ample fertile land regular rainfall and minior deposites. Agricultural products supply nearly all of Uganda foreign exchange.
Past and current future of poverty - About 67 percent of Ugandans are either poor or highly vulnerable to poverty. Life expectancy for men and women is one of the lowest in the world at an average of 54 years old. Disease such as aids and lack of poor nutrition. The current future of poverty is that it is slowly getting better. There are groups and organizations trying to help Uganda lower there poverty and hunger levels.
Causes of Poverty and hunger - There are many causes of poverty in the country of Uganda. One of the main problems is that most people in the country can barely afford it. 24 percent of the people who live in Uganda live below the poverty line. The country has also gone throw civil war that has caused a lot of natural recourses to go to the war while a lot of rural people were left with little to no food. Another cause of hunger and poverty is disease. Currently 7.2 percent of the population lives with HIV.
Solutions - Uganda has made lots of progress to lower poverty in there country. Some possible solutions to these problems is to give funds to agricultural sectors so they can increase growth. To help cut down on diseases Uganda could ask for help from other countries to help set up medical facilities and deliver medicine to people who need it.
Obstacles - The biggest obstacle Uganda has is corruption. Uganda is ranked the second most corrupted country in eastern Africa. Many of the scandals that occur in Uganda it make it hard for country to solve many of its serious problems.
Implications if nothing is done - Uganda problems will only get worse if nothing is done. War will continue to ravage the country, HIV will continue to infected more people and the lack of food will lower the life expectancy.
Poverty/hunger related to environmentally issues - Poverty and hunger has made it hard for the country of Uganda to solve there Environmental issues. Its made it hard to solve environmental issues when they are trying to solve there hunger, disease, and war problems. Problems like hunger, poverty, disease and war all contribute to there environmental problems.
